Hello! My name is Beth van den Berg-Warwick and I am from Minnesota in the USA. With a degree in Education, I began my career as a primary school teacher in the Minneapolis / St. Paul area.
One path led to another, and I found myself on a one-year adventure teaching group 4 children at the Arnhem International School in 2008-2009. But beware the one-year adventure! I met the love of my life during that one-year adventure and have since then made the Netherlands my home. Since then I have happily helped hundreds of people of all ages and walks of life to improve their English.
Teaching is my passion. I live for the thrill of seeing students discover for themselves that learning English can be enjoyable and rewarding. Every individual is unique and interesting, and I love the challenge of discovering what is going to work the best for each person.
My own language journey (I have learned Dutch fluently) has taught me the value of being clearly understood while also highlighting the need for the freedom to experiment with a second language. Ensuring that my students have the opportunity to discover this freedom is an important element to my lessons, which brings them far beyond the mechanics of reading, writing, speaking, listening, vocabulary, and grammar.
