Kathleen Scherer was born and raised in the Midwest of the U.S but spent the majority of her adult life living and working seasonally in remote Alaska.
Her love of language and culture began in Russia in 2008 as she studied Russian History and Philosophy. Upon completion of her bachelor studies, she received her CELTA teaching certification in Denver, Colorado. She took a placement at Eastern Kentucky University teaching English for Academic Purposes and a few years after, pursued curriculum design at Kindai University in Osaka, Japan. Kathleen has recently competed an M.A. in Applied Linguistics - TEFL at Rijksuniversiteit Groningen. In her free time she loves to rock climb, practice yoga, and travel.
